12/16/2023: Galatians 1:13 – The Lord does not define us by our past.

Galatians 1:13 (NASB)

13 For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I used to persecute the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it;

Thought for today – The Lord does not define us by our past.

If there were ever an enemy of the gospel and of the church it was Saul whom we know as Paul the Apostle.  He was on his way to Damascus to imprison and execute Christians when the Lord intervened, blinded him with the light of His presence, and destroyed all Paul’s plans and purposes.  Jesus Christ completely changed Saul, forgave his sin, changed his name to Paul and redirected his life from that moment.  Though our transformations may not have been as dramatic, each of us who have placed our faith in Jesus Christ have been forever changed, and that change is for us as miraculous as Paul’s salvation.

That’s what the Book says!
