12/12/2023: Galatians 1:6-7 – There is only one gospel.

 

Galatians 1:6-7 (NASB)

⁶ I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel, ⁷ which is not just another account; but there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

Thought for today – There is only one gospel.

From the very beginning of the church, the Enemy has been seeking to distort the gospel and to distract believers away from the truth of their faith.  The success and swiftness of the attack by frauds and false teachers in the church amazed Paul, and he wrote this epistle to address the errors that had invaded the church.  At its core, this error was based on presenting “another” method of salvation that was not the gospel at all.  The gospel is not just one of many narratives of salvation; it is the only story of redemption, and there is no other hope of eternal life except by believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

That’s what the Book says!
