12/09/2023: Galatians 1:3 – What is the peace of God? Think about that question.

 

Galatians 1:3 (NASB)

³ Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,

Thought for today – What is the peace of God?  Think about that question.

Just like grace, true peace is a gift from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, and also like grace, it is known by what it does in one’s life.  Philippians 4: 4-7 provides this insight into the specific elements that display the peace of God.  It is based on joy in the Lord.  It shows itself in kindness to others.  It overcomes anxiety through prayer and gratitude.  It is beyond human understanding.  It guards our hearts and minds against error, doubt, and confusion.  Most of all, peace is not based on circumstances, but it overcomes them.

That’s what the Book says!
