12/08/2023: Galatians 1:3 – What is grace? Think about that question.

Galatians 1:3 (NASB)

Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,

Thought for today – What is grace?  Think about that question.

Grace is the extension of God’s dynamic to enable and ennoble us for His service and to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.  We have no higher or more noble cause and occupation that to serve God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ – God Almighty, Creator, Ruler, King of Kings.  And grace is God’s gift to us that enables and ennobles us to serve Him.  It is His “dynamic.”  In the biblical context, the noun dynamic means “the ability, motivation, and authority” to accomplish God’s will and work.  What Paul is saying is “may Jesus Christ motivate you with His power and authority to glorify and serve Him.”  O, my soul, may it ever be so!

That’s what the Book says!
